I finally got my Xin Supermini IV... and now I'm changing the jumper settings

On the image on his site, it shows the jumpers hooked in partially still after activating the A and C jumpers. Do I have to do this, or can I just leave them out completely? I'm guessing he just does this as a way to store the jumpers so he doesn't lose them, right?

I believe you are correct. This is what I do where I don't need the jumpers to be making a connection between 2 posts.

Those little things are tough to change eh? Be careful using metal tweezers if the amp is on. I'm always paranoid so I use my fingernails. I'm sure it's best to change jumpers with the amp off but that makes comparisons difficult.

EDIT- I think this is the pic that you're refering to:

In this picture, the positions of the jumpers set the Amp gain to 8 (high) and enable Crossfeed.

Hey, remember me? You helped me with my receiver/MP3 player question a couple months back.

Yeah, that's the image. I just took the 'I' and 'B' jumpers out completely and put them in a small bag I had. I'm loving it so far. Isn't there a burn in time for the amp as well? I know the LOD I got from Qables has a burn in time. So maybe it will get even better as I listen more.

And surprisingly, I didn't have much trouble taking the jumpers out. I used a small pair of tweezers. I thought it was REALLY tricky to get them to sit in there like Xin shows in that image, though. That's why I had to ask this question and make sure they didn't have to be in there like that. It's much easier for me to just set them to the side in a bag. I won't lose them.

1 thing i learned... don't change these caps while on the bus!!
and yes that's perfectly fine to leave them there hanging since there's no way they'd come off w/ the lid on. there's just not enough space for them to come off completely

I can sit in an easychair and lose one of those small jumpers............playing with them on a bus is insane and a non-starter. Simply leave them hanging on one pin as recommended - they do fine there. Putting jumpers in a separate box or bag is like all other "safe place"s. I defy anybody to remember the location of the "safe place".

I do remember the subject but not the details.

When I first got my SuperMini IV I was confused with the jumpers for a couple hours. After seeing how small they are I wanted to upgrade to the SuperMacro which Xin approved. At the time I didn't have the cash so I kept the Mini which was a good choice now that I look back...I love the small size.
