$500??? Is it really that good? That's a lot of money to pay for a prime lens that only stops down to f/2. The super sharp Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 can be had for around 100. And even the f/1.4 is only 350 or so. Wow. 500 is crazy.

well, i found a great deal on a used 20D (630!), so I went ahead and bit. On to lenses!!!
