This is kinda embarassing.
Ok so i just picked up this M-AUDIO - Studiophile AV 40 - Desktop Speaker System
And i have a feeling its defective except i dont have all the wires plugged
1) It comes with a wire that has a red and white head and a black tail. I plugged the red and white to the back of the left speaker and i plugged the black to the front panel of my desktop. Nothing worked. I then plugged it to the back panel of my desktop and nothing still worked.
2) I then used the other wires that came along for the Audio-In and plugged that to the headphones-In and that worked when plugged to both that back and front panel which is very wierd since thats meant to be for the headphones. Also for this to even work, i had to put the wire halfway into the headphone port for it to work.
