What a dope I am! I threw the huge Allied Electronics catalog into my briefcase without realizing it would break my Grado '60's. The thingy that holds the earpiece to the headband (half-circle shaped) broke in half.
Does anybody have any experience with Grado service? Any strategy suggestions? Or, since my cmoy amp parts are on the way, is this a cosmic suggestion that I go for the Sennheiser 600's?

Give Grado a call...........they're very nice. I'm pretty sure it's fixable and they'll give you an honest quote. Good luck.

Is it something that wouldn't work fine if you just epoxied it?

I broke mine twice on my SR 125s and when I called Grado, they sent me a replacement, no questions. I expected to pay but they picked up the whole tab. Great Customer Service.

I don't think there's enough surface area to epoxy it. I'll give Grado a call today. Thanks for the good news about Grado's service.

I called Grado, the man I spoke to offerred to send a new piece even before I told him I also have one of their higher-end phono cartridges!
Maybe I should consider the better Grados instead of the Sennheisers.............. (I know, I know, read the archives!)
