Anyone else noticed that Chord have just increased the price of the TT2, just after Audeze put it on their list of amp DACs that would work well with the new LCD 5s ????????

This happened September 1st. dave went up in price by £500 as well, M-scaler went up £250.

I think you're reaching here, prices for everything is going up, especially boutique electronics because of the global parts shortage.

Ahhh, okay. It appears that the price - in the UK, at least - has gone from £3,995 to £4,250, an increase of £255. I wonder what's the corresponding cost in US Dollars?

However, at present, a host of UK-based sites are selling the Hugo TT 2 at £4,250 instead - [Fanthorpes] [Futureshop] [Audio T] [Price Spy]

The same can be said for the Hugo M Scaler - it was previously listed at £3,495, but the price has risen to £3,750 now, an increase of £255, too.

Phew, am I glad that I purchased this stack in August.

In Singapore? What are the the current local prices there?I got my Qutest in Singapore and my Mscaler in Malaysia when both had basically just been released and paid about the same price one obviously has to pay for just the Mscaler today, for a Qutest and an Mscaler combo!
I sometimes almost regret that I did not buy a DAVE in Asia when I could still have had a new one for little more than 6K Euro.
Then again, my little Qutest sounds just fine with my Mscaler and both have travelled quite extensivley until Covid hit..
I suspect my Q/HMS combo has been to more National Parks in South East Asia than any other pair sold.

I checked around me (FR & CH) and confirm prices have indeed gone up for HMS/TT2, by 200 approx.
Sad because we all know they won't come down once the chip shortage has been resolved.
Maybe I should bump up the price of the HMS I've put on the classifieds a few days ago!

It appears that every manufacturer is experiencing supply chain issues, elevated shipping/distribution costs, Covid problems (still) and the upcoming holiday season already sounds like a nightmare. I guess a cost increase shouldn’t be a surprise. Glad I purchased my Chord gear last year!

The prices are almost always better in the U.S., even for EU/UK manufactured products. There might not even be an increase there. It would be interesting to check again in a few months. I'd bet a cool fiver that the prices will stay the same for the Yankees.

I think the price increases are tied to the current economic environment.

And I believe they are tied to the audiophiles buying new more expensive TOTL headphones and gear despite the insanely growing prices.
