I just went ahead and bought a baby Yoda to keep my TT2 levitating at all times.

This is what you need for under the TT2. Only a mere $1,700 for a set of 4. Or if you are really co concerned you can go all in and get the full on mrack I think it starts at a reasonable $40k.

I am right there with you sir. At least headphone listening is still cheaper than 2 channel. Hell there are $70k speaker cables.

What adapter is everyone using to connect the rear xlr output to headphones? I would like to try this with my AB-1266.

Whilst I don’t disagree with this in principle, let’s face it. As ‘people with more money than sense’, we can easily get a bit anal about this. I mean, what other mug would pay over a grand for a ‘simple’ USB cable (my sad hand is up...)
I think we sometimes need to take a step-back, and just enjoy the music that these stupidly-expensive toys make.
Take this system in the photo. It’s placement is pants. But I’m sure it’s owner loves it for the music it makes.
Let’s all just chill and enjoy the tunes!

Well that's a 1200!!!

hi Christer, the TT2 is in my kitchen and the 3 year old knows not to touch any of grandfathers hifi under pain of death but he might accidentally nudge a TT2 off if it was on elevated vibro thingys. The TT2 rubber feet by comparison have a high friction against sliding. My main system in the sitting room has a valve (tube) amp on the floor and again he knows NEVER to even think about even looking at it. His mother, my daughter, grew up with hifi all around the house so maybe that has rubbed off on the grandson.

We all like pictures so this shows there really isn’t anywhere else for it to go. Before the TT2 there was a dac AND an amplifier on top of that speaker and had been for 20 years without mishap.

Hello Nick,
Nowhere else you say?
I would put theTT2 next to that bottle opposite your Ipad or whatever is sitting on the other side of that cupboard shelf.
But of course then there'd be the risk that the little rascal would spill gin on it if he decides to taste Grandfather's Gin.
Gin can come in handy in small quantities to clean dirty contacts, trust me I know it works. But you wouldn't want it spilled on your TT2 would you ?
My advice would be: move the bottle to the top of the speaker and put your TT2 on the shelf.
Problem solved.
And possibly even a slight increase in SQ if your TT2 doesn't have to dance with the music on top of that speaker.
PS. I hope the chair close to the TT2 is NOT where you sit and listen to music from those speakers though?
If so, you might as well sell one of those speakers.
All in jest and Cheers CC

Your wish is my command.

Thanks, that looks much less precarious. I will leave it like that.

Oops, I also note that you have finished the Gin.
I don't advice anyone to drive under the influence of alcohol, but a sharp turn to the right seems like a VERY good idea before parking on that narrow shelf!
Cheers CC

It is an (empty for the moment) port decanter that I was presented with for winning a horse jumping competition. Note that I did not say a horse look alike competition.:grinning:
