Thanks. That's been my experience with Chord products which I own a lot of.
I have owned two TT2 and two M scalers ower some time, and there were some changes in packaging, different paperwork and cables were wrapped using some different velcro... But in a hardware I saw no change whatsoever.

Has anyone here upgraded from Wave Stream to Wave Reference? Baby steps better or a big jump? Thanks
Been thinking about doing this as well. Stream is copper. Storm is silver

This would be as far as I'm taking this rig if I jump to reference other than alternate music storage playback.

There is a random clicking sound can be heard coming from inside my M Scaler. It does not effect the music and happens even when my TT2 and source (optical from a pc) are off. It sounds similar to when the TT2 turns on and off but a little quieter. Any ideas on how to remedy this?

I've heard that too, but it hasn't bothered me at all - I hardly notice it and can't hear it with headphones anyway; some components do their own internal maintenance work on their own schedule, or at least it seems that way. Might also be why the heat of the metal casing varies a bit between warm to warmer.... But that's just pure conjecture on my part - I don't know anything about electronics!

By the way, my TT2 is stacked on my M Scaler.

There isn’t an MScaler 2 being developed at this time. Rob Watts has stated so in several occasions.
Though he has apparently mentioned that there is a new M-scaler type unit being developed in the Choral range. I'm very interested in that, if true.

As I recall that could be years off though
Rob Watts, 25th Aug 20201,
”I did say I can't give more details! Research is ongoing, but I have made a huge amount of progress so far in a number of different areas. You will have to wait till later next year to hear the results - but I can say that it will be another xM scaler intended to match Dave...”.

There isn't.

It is not going to be an M Scaler 2: it's not going to replace the current version, rather be a correspondent product in the Choral line.

Semantics, maybe, but its clear the current M Scaler is not going anywhere...it's not a Hugo / Hugo 2 TT/TT2 situation.
