Hello everyone,
The weirdo who burned in his Koss ktx pros with a hairdryer is back
I listened to the HP170s lately at my local music store.They had Daniel Bedingfields new Album in the changer as well as best of keating.I listened and listeneed.
They seemed to make Daniels and Ronan Keatings voice much more "manly"
than my Koss Ktx pros.The KTX pros make Ronan sound like his singing (just a bit) through his nose.I listened to them some more.I also noticed slightly more detailed highs.On my koss,the highs sound a bit scrathcy and undetailed.
However,when i was at the store i concluded before leaving that my koss sound better.So,i went home and played the same track (192 kbps mp3) and REMOVED 4front Headphone plugin fromt the foobar dsp stack and VOILA !!
Holy crap,teh koss were BEATEN.
So should i buy the HP170s ? If i do buy them i will be surely putting some speaker dampening material inside their enclosure;just a bit to alleviate the rinigng and echoey issues these have.
And did i mention that the HP170's fit my head as good as the koss ?
