That is a fantastic amp for that amount of money. High in quality, hard to call it a cmoy in my opinion even if it is. Its more of a commercial amp in a tin and sounds nice. It needs plenty of burn in though. It doesnt come with an interconnect of a battery though. It does have a charging circuit. I wouldnt hesitate to buy this amp.

There has been some folks however having delays in delivery. I got mine through ebay and it arrived in about a week from Germany to Seattle Washington.

I was in the same boat, but I had to hear what the fuss about amps was and this seemed like the best in its price range and Im loving it as my first amp! But yeah a decent interconnect could be $30 and can get to crazy prices.

The interconnect won't change the SQ one iota. The only way you'll notice a difference is if one of them is faulty. The sound signature might change ever so slightly, but never SQ. If you plan on putting the amp and your mp3 into your pocket, it may be a good idea to invest in a decent IC, if for no other reason than the increased robustness. Plus they do look cool.

BTW, there are other options in your price range for amps. The Travagans, Biosciencegeek's line of altoid CMOY's, crystal sound group cmoys (nice classical quality plastic enclosure), and others. Just search Headfi or ebay, you'll find them.

im actually gonna buy that same amp in a few days or so. from what ppl say, it seems to be really good (i sure hope so!) i kinda like the bass boost on it since my hd595's lack bass which is kinda true i guess although im not a bass head, i like a little bit above average. but when u buy it, make sure u buy a 250mah nimh rechargeable battery and a ac adapter to charge it against the wall. as well with an IC of course. the price seems excellent too thats why im buying it.
