Been looking to buy a good CDP to replace my $25 RCA POS, and was looking to spend about $100. While looking around though, seems like every major brand (except sony) has an MP3+CDP player combo for around $50 more. I was wondering, what's the sound quality like on these for cd's? I know most people have told me the Rio Volt is crap, but what about some of the others like the phillips and panasonic models?

I'm curious about the panasonic models as well (are their any? havn't seen em yet). What I've always been curious about is if a normal CD sounds as good on em as a normal CD would sound on just a normal panasonic portable cd player. Know what I mean? That way I could use a normal CD for when I want the best in sound quality, and use mp3 cds for conveniance.
