How will k701s sound with an iAudio x5?

The title pretty much says it all, but I have a Xin Supermini IV on the way and the last pair of full sized phones I used with the X5 were Sony MDR-7506 and they sounded horribly bright and way oversaturated with treble. Will the k701s sound the same??? Thanks for any help!

The K701 isn't like the 7506 at all, no need to worry. Has a very good balance. As for being driven from a DAP, well you'll need an amp for sure. Some people have claimed they can run a K701 directly from an iPod. At close to maximum volume maybe, but that's going to be a huge battery drain. An amp alleviates that issue.
