How well would a Sony D-EJ1000 power a pair of Sennheiser HD-280 Pro's?

I'm looking at replacing my ailing, second/third hand D-EJ101 (missing AC adapter/remote, currently supplementing former MiniDisc recorder remote), with a D-EJ1000. I recently broke my pair of MDR-V600's, as well, and am considering replacing them with HD-280 Pro's. Would the D-EJ1000 be able to drive these?

You can run the 280s out of the Sony and you will get IMO more than enough volume, however a bit more power is needed to realy make them sing. I have a 20 mW portable that does a better job than my Sony EJ725. The sound is fuller and with more presence.
