I’ve been thinking about how my theoretical dream system would work, and there are a few things that’s still confuse me. I would want to bi-amp and power stereo subwoofers, but preamps only have one XLR output pair, whereas I would need three.

I’ve found splitter boxes that look like this

Most seem to be made for microphones and I am afraid they will reduce signal quality.

What should I use in this case ideally? I would need three identical XLR outputs per channel without suffering any loss in quality.

This is all theoretical. I’m not using any particular preamp, as no final decisions have been made.

I just took a look at crossovers, and that may be what I need. I could run highs and mids to each speaker amp and lows to the subs, from what I could tell.

Still, I’m trying to keep the system as clean, classic, and analog as possible. I just need a way to power multiple amps from a standard 2 output preamp without any phase shifting or distortion.
