I noticed that sen 580 earpads attract dusts and it is hard to get them off, what's the best way to clean them?

I use a 3M "Lint Roller" on my HD600's. Works good for me and I have a longhair cat!

I just wrap some sellotape around my hand (sticky side up

) and just dab at the earpads until they are clean.

When the pads on my DT531s got really grubby after like 4-5 years of use I removed them and threw them in the washing machine and they came up like new.

Sound As Ever

When the velour pads collect dust, they get in there deep like a rug does. If you hit the pads a few times after they've collected dust for a while, a cloud will fly out. That's dirty. You should clean them atleast once a month. Pop them out and wash with warm water and mild liquid detergent, air dry. I have two sets of pads so that I'm never without fresh pads.

Now if you don't shower often, I recommend you atleast wash your head/hair twice as often.

also, if you rub it with your fingers like andrze here, what you're actually doing is rubbing it in deeper, that's counter productive.

There is no way, that's why I sell my HD600, get a CD3000 instead and you don't have to worry about that ever!!!!!!

hmm, never thought of it that way. Its more of a side to side motion that in. And my pads come out clean. . .
