How to connect spades to an amp which is only provided for naked wires?

So I would like to get some ideas on how to connect a Stefan Audioart cable for AKG K1000, which is terminated with Cardas spades, to the terminals of a vintage integrated amplifier which are conceived to receive naked wire only (you know, you put the naked wire in a hole then release a spring which prevents it from getting out).

The spades are too large to insert one of the sides of their "U" in the holes.

I would not like to cut the spades from the cable, because - who knows - I might get in the future another amp which likes spades and then I would regret having cut the cable.

Maybe should I open the amp and solder the spades to the wires that go to the clip-on terminals?

Anybody knows about the existence of some device which can play as an intermediate between my spade-terminated cable and the clip-on holes of my amp?

Thanks in advance for any kind of idea!

well if you're willing to do that just solder a piece of speaker wire onto the spades... then hook up and enjoy.

Yes, but if I will finally have to use soldering (I wonder where that soldering iron of mine might be, I haven't used it since years

), I guess it's better to solder the spades directly to the internal wiring of the amp, before the part destined to hook the speaker wires, in order to avoid a supplementary mechanical contact, right?

I would offer some suggestion, but I don't understand hooking up the AKG's to speaker terminals. At least I think that is what you are doing.

Okay, it seems that you are willing to mess with the amp. How about soldering a binding post to the amp in place of those connectors that are there? Or mounting a pair of binding posts to a board and running a wire from there to the amp, then connect the spades to the posts on the board.

Why not add a set of new binding posts to the amp. Is there room? Not to hard if you can solder and own a drill. This will improve the Quality of connection and improve the sound. I can offer more direction if you need help. Send me an email.
Thanx

Thanks for the idea with the board
