I lost the dust caps of my optical cable, and need to leave it unplugged most of the time (the computer cannot use it's internal speakers when the optical cable is plugged in). Because of this, the cable end(s) must accumulate a fair bit of dust.

How do you clean off this dust without damaging the cable?

Thanks in advance!!

Isopropyl alcohol or eyeglasses cleaner liquid. Wipe off with clean microfibre towel.
