how to clean HD580 and RP21 pads?

Getting two of these used and was wondering what the best method of cleaning would be.

for the hd580 pads and anything velour, i use
bucket
warm water
clothes detergent
towel
time to dry

figured that that is how to clean them. Pretty much the same process as Grado bowls I guess.

Which then leaves me with RP21s...I think they are pleather so can I use leather cleaners or will that do something weird to the material?
