Hi,

I was just wondering on how much a standard PPA can deliver (using it with the ELPAC). Have anybody tested a PPA regarding the power under different resistances like

32 ohm
64 ohm
250 ohm
300 ohm

Thanks,
Pablo

Forgetting about absolutely everything else and going
strictly by output voltage, the maximum peak to peak
output voltage is likely to be about 23 volts or 8.2 volts
rms.

So into 600 ohms that is 112 mw
into 250 it would be 270mw
into 64 ohms it would be 1.05 watt
into 32 ohms it would be 2.1 watt

Thanks Kevin and chillysalsa for your relplies,

Im just trying to understand a little more about headphone amps, do headphone amps have RMS watts like HT amps? and how much do you think a PPA have in cotinous milliwats?
