Seriously though, it is a lot (at least by my standards). I just calculated it and its roughly $2250 including the stuff i sold. If i would subtract the stuff i no longer have i would probably be $1800 broke.

I calculated everything and I'm down to $1075 in payment. Thats a good start for a beginner right? but if I add the $15 shoe rack to hold everything its $1100. I put everything I bought in my signature.

Audio Technica ATH-M50: ~$130
Schiit Magni: $99
Monoprice 8323 (x2): $44
Sennheiser HD600: $399
Schiit Valhalla: $349
Schiit Modi: $99
Sennheiser HD558 (for the wife): $99

$1219 over about a year (excluding S&H)...oops? I suppose I probably won't be spending much more for a while. I really like my wife's 558, and the leakage isn't bad, so I might pick up another pair of those for work. I think my main plan is to save up for something in the really really nice category, like the HD800. That should keep me from spending too much on headphones...right?

Actually it does. Since I've found the right headphone at that ability I haven't had the desire for anything new since not much further up you can go :)

As far as  how much I've spent...more than I want to know about :D

=Correction=

My Bad... The thread asks for audio equipment, and I added music.. so need to subtract $3,900.. and forgot AKGQ701s, so will add $234 = $4,205
haha no need to be picky, you can include all that too if you like. Dang that's a massive collection.

Probably averages about ~ $2500 - $3000 a month for the last ten years. Most of that went towards my music library. Perhaps 30% for equipment. Less and less these days though. Not much to add, harder and harder to find things I don't have.

There are others with bigger collections, I'm sure.. but once you're bit with the audiophile bug.. "Too much is never enough!".. Someone should start a new version of AA, "Audiophile's Ananomous"
