Consider another scary version of this link:

How much have you spent since finding Head-fi? If you add up all of your purchases, and deduct the return of any sales you have made as you upgraded....how much money have you spent "out of pocket" so far? In what time period?

In the little over 2 years I've been here, I've spent $2086 on audio hardware. The UE5c's and SR-71 really made a dent in that final tally. If the HF-1's are decent, I will sell my SR225's to recoup some cost. That would leave me at around $1941 for 2+ years.

Luckily, I think I'm done for awhile......really (except maybe Grado streetstyles if they're decent).

Ooohhhhh...my head hurts just thinking about thinking about it. Why do you guys keep asking questions like this

I don't feel like adding it up in any precise manner right now, but I know it is into the 5-figures range is you include headphone/head amps/sources. Hell, it may be into 5 figures even without the sources.

Ahhhh! Ahhhh! Ahhhh! Now I feel bad (since I'm at work and don't have my nice gear to comfort me). It'll be the cheap liquor for me tonight

Somewhere in the neighborhood of $3000USD I would imagine... worth it? Definately.

Too much.... but not enough....

Once I have the RS-1's and a tube amp I'll be able to control myself and stop upgrading for a while.

I Hope....

When I get XM in the middle of next month, it will be - $8027.52 USD. The funny thing is it has all been worth it and I even have just enough money to buy a new Denon DVD 5910 universal DVD player at full list MSRP $3500 USD price too. I am not going to buy it, instead, I will keep saving that money to finance my competitive shooting career. I could buy the G. David Tubb 2000-C rifle in .308 Winchester though. Anyway, once I get my career going with the US Postal Service as a letter carrier next April 2006, then I will probably be saving much more money. That means one more Hi-Fi purchase: the Grado PS-1.

Postal Worker + Winchester Rifle = Bad Combo.

Just joking! Enjoy the tunes and make sure to wear some high quality isolating sealed cans when shooting!

Probably close to 6-7000USD all in all. Very worth it. I built the perfect rig for me except maybe for cables, and am very content with the sound. Spending that much on audio gear is very worthwhile imho

try not to dwell upon it, but if you truly enjoy it then it is money well spent. What else ya gonna do with it?

I love to attend concerts/shows when ever possible, but the home audio rig is just heaven for the precious moments to relax.

You want to know how much you have spent, just add-up your profile +/- gain/losses on sales/trades.

Since joining HF I have at least spent more wisely. A better question might be how much have you wasted since joining HF vs b4.

Since joining HF I have invested wisely and depreciation on my gear is much less, some appreciation, and enjoyment factor almost priceless.

So sorry about your wallet does not apply here. I spent what I could afford and enjoy even my most modest audio accessories.
