How much do last the batteries in a Grado RA1?

Yes, it depends on plenty of factors, but a rough estimation would be more than enough

NiMH will depend a lot on how often it's used, because they have a self-discharge rate, something like 1%/day. If you only play it for 4 hrs a month, you might only get 8 hrs total from them. The capacity of NiMH varies, older ones were pretty low, 150 mAh, but newer ones are in the 250 mAh range.

The RA-1 is one of the amps that I am considering but there seems to be no pictures of the underside or the battery compartment. Do batteries just hang loose in the unit?
