Without DAC music would be pain for your ears (10011100011101001110001101010101001110101010110101010....) ... meaning integrated audio chip has at least one stereo DAC in-build (some have 4 of these) and USB port is fully digital so ....

What he said. Any time you are listening to digital music, it's going through a DAC of some kind.
Plus, stand alone DACs are often not a good choice for headphones. Need a DAC with some kind of headphone amp built in.

I have a Schitt bifrost that is an amazing DAC for the money. I like the sound of the bi better than their competitions products at the same price point.
