i just got mine... it sounds good, but.. coming from a bass shy 'fones makes me feel that the 7506 is to bass heavy... after using it for a couple of days i kind of get used to the sounds...

i'm not brave enough to use it as a reverence in any of music project besides for tracking.. still trust my 270 for that, but i'll use the 7505 for checking the bass respons

i really like 7506 and thinking of getting another pair or getting a V-6... no wonder they're industry standard... its very comfortable, sounds good (slight emphasis on highs but its oke for me and i'm trying to get used to its deep bass) and looks great... i dont like the coiled cable though... but i wont complain

Ai!

I am trading them today for some eggos and a portable amp..but will probably get another pair before my next bus trip up north.

I had the V6s for years and loved them....getting the 7506s reminded me why.

I have an old-looking 7506 that belonged to my father. The stock pads were completely worn out, so when I found this site I immediately bought the Beyer pads. These cans are very good for their price (so good that I just bought the V6 from zeplin) and the Beyer pads simply improves their comfort and sound quality.

I don't have the 7506, but the V6 is apparently identical except for the gold plated plugs. Both of my pairs of V6s are getting on to 15 years old. And they still perform and look pretty damned good (new pads). One pair still has the red "Ready for Digital" stickers.

You better peal that sticker off, Bob or you won't be able to use those suckers with analog equipment...

i have my 7506 for two years and i love 'em. despite being a little bright and a little dip in the midrange, these are still one of my fave phones, and i recommend them to anyone who asks me for a sub-$100 pair of closed phones. one thing i love about them is that they work well with almost any source you plug them into. i was just listening to them with my newly acquired Sony D-35, and that combo sounds awesome!

i also have a really old pair of V6, but one driver is busted. the body is pretty scratched up as well, but the hardware still works fine. maybe someone else would have better use for this broken V6?

I have a pair of V6s. They're only 6-8 months old, but still rock-solid. For the first few weeks, I was still using the Sonica's TruSurround feature, also known as the "make the midrange disappear" option. But I've grown to love the sound. The bass is right where it should be, to my ears.

I have the V6s. Nice set of phones for the money.

Very versatile because of the sensitivity and low impedance. They're keepers.

Another happy 7506 owner here.

I'm too content with them to upgrade to something else. If it ain't broke, why fix it. There are a few minor nit picks with them, but overall they are a faithful servant and have been really reliable considering all the abuse they get.

Always nice to hear good praise for the 7506's.
