Need a quick answer, im currently stretching wires to make a stand for my coming headphones (this is to compensate my anxiousness

)
All of grados/alessandros headbands are pretty much the same size are they?

Can someone tell me how many cm is the width of the top part of the headband ?
The point is, im going to make the "hook" to hang the headphones, so i need to know how long i should make the hook.

thanks !

some grado / alessandro headbands are different sizes... the lower models are narrower than the higher ones.

I thought there was a thread similar to this a while back asking the same question... but anyways, both the HP1000 and PS1 have headbands with a maximum width of 38mm.

well, im getting a pair of MS2, so i assume it will be similar to something like grado sr325 ?

anyway, i will try to look using the search, although im not sure what should i type on search though... hehe...

but i assume PS1 will have the widest headbands compared to lower end grados ?
so if i made it to fit PS1's headband width, i would be safe ?

wow... the top one (widest bit of headband) is only 2.8 cm ? not even 3 cm ? thats pretty thin isnt it...
i thought they are pretty much the same as HP1 or RS1....

MS-2's headband has 26.3 mm exactly.
The plastic one of SR models has 30.4 mm exactly.
(I don't know about RS models since I don't have any of them yet).

Hey DJ, Grado headbands aren't suitable for Afro hairstyle....

but for nice headphones, i wouldnt mind cutting my hair though...

anyway, i already finished my headphone hanger extension...
it looks like this now

i made the top one out of some clothes hanger wires and wrapped it with a cloth... looks untidy, but i hope it does the job...

the initial bottom hooks are for my other headphones.
The space between the top hook (the one i made) and the bottom hooks is roughly around 20cm.
Do you think its long enough to place MS2 on top hook ?
Its not enough for my ATH, but i assume that MS2 is smaller (shorther) than ATH phones ? (ATH has oversized cups)

I guess this would be enough, the vertical distance between the top of the headband and bottom of the drivers is about 19 cm. With earpads, this would be around 20 cm.

And I know you don't have Afro, but anyway when I saw that picture I couldn't resist and posted here
