How many 580/600/650 "clicks" are you?

Hey all,

Just wondering how many "clicks" of headband adjustment it takes for everyone to get a comfy fit on their Sennheiser 580/600/650 headphones?

Guess I'll be the first to move this out of the 4-6 range and check in at 8 clicks. Technically I can get a "comfy" fit with less clicks, but it takes a full 8 to optimally position the drivers in relation to my ear canal.

I'm Ok anywhere from 6-8 clicks per side, but prefer a looser fit, so 8 was my answer.

But I've been working on this theory...

I suspect that the "Senn fit" is not correlated very closely with hat size (or overall head mass for that matter). You see, the band itself is rather broad, and as such, a wide headed, big hat sized beast with an enormous mellon head (such as myself

) might just get the same reading on the Senn-o-meter as would a rather small hat sized, low volume, but somewhat pointy headed guy who needs the extra clicks for the desired height rather than width. The only difference is that a guy like me would feel a much tighter clamping effect.

Ok, so "pointy headed" might not have been the best way of putting it...

Random. My head's big, but I can fit the phones from almost any adjustment.

Forgot to mention that I'm on 5 clicks a side, though my headband is *really* stretched - I used to leave the phones stretched over four huge LOTR sized novels when not in use, to counter the "vise grip of death"... now they're so loose I can barely move my head before they slip off!

Personally, I'm a bit frustrated. Even after owning the 600 for some time, I'm still adjusting my headband from time to time. I rarely ever get a comfortable enough fit without doing so. The area around my ears are very sensitive to pressure.

I voted 9 clicks for each side but will use anywhere from 8 to 10 clicks per side usually.

I like a relatively loose fit, and I'll go for 8-9 clicks on my 580's most of the time. If I'm wearing them whilst moving around, I'll go for a little tighter fit at 6-7 clicks per.
