How loud do you listen to music.

Could you define "normal listening level" (5)? It seems like everyone has a different normal listening level.

On the scale of 1-10, I am normally about 1-2 almost all the time. I don't like loud music anymore. After having (4) 15" subs and 600 watts of power running them in my old Buick, I no longer crave loud. Quality is the name of the game now, and quality that comes thru at low volume is for me. I do listen to certain songs kinda loud, but I usually turn it down quickly durng or right after the song.

70-80db for me. I don't like loud music either. I must've acquired sensitive hearing from my parents.

I've found that since I've had my Etys I listen at lower and lower volume levels. Probably around a 3 at the loudest now. There is so much detail even at low volumes that it just sounds better when it is not too loud.

I'm the same way with my speaker system. Probably a 2 or 3 out of 10 for volume level. There is a ton of low level detail. Once in awhile I'll crank it up some but rarely and never for very long.

I usually listen while falling asleep, so I listen at low levels. Hard not to crank it up with the HD600s, though, being so laid back. It's also possible to achieve ear splitting volume with little fatigue, which is scary.

Usually on the quiet side, probably 3-5.

For speakers, I have a mark for 77 dB in my volume knob and another for 83 dB (pink noise calibrated). I found 75 to 79, very pleasant for most of my CDs. But with wife and children around, it falls to around 70 dB, no too bad. With cans, I feel is almost the same, except for the family limit, don´t know if is OK to put the SPL meter against the driver and see.

I don't know what it'd be in decibels, but if 10 was ears bleeding and 1 was a whisper probably a 3 or 4 most of the time. There are some tracks I like to turn up loud, but my hearing is pretty sensitive so I don't need to listen very loud. With a line level signal my amp rarely gets turned past the 9-o-clock position.
