ive neer taken the etys apart..are there pics with them being dissassembled? are they meant to be taken apart? i mean...is it just plug/unplug? no glue or anything?
There's nothing to it. You pull the old cable out (it's a 2 prong connector) and plug in the new one. The pins are of different sizes, so you can't do it wrong.

Hmm I didn't know they were unpluggable (answers a few questions ). Are you sure you want a stiff cable on earphones with great isolation cos that in my mind = microphonics.
Teflon is less microphonic than the stock cable which is rubbery and vibrates like crazy when it is touched or rubbed, making lots of noise. Teflon wire is slick.
