Last week I got my new super mini amp V6.2D and got my minidisc and shure E2 and very happily listen to music day and night fore two days. I never heard the E2s sound so great. I only use the E2 fore portable use and didn't use my main rig fore at least three days. Then my new ULTRA amp finally got here my second one so I went back to my main rig. The ULTRA and my minidisc deck and the grado SR-225. But something was wrong I found in the next few days. I only would listen to music fore an hour at a time and take long break between listening again like music was no longer a big deal? I thought hard on this and plug in my E2s into my main rig and wow there it was. That great sound that I just want to listen to fore long periods of time. Am I saying that I like the E2 better than the SR-225. Yes I am. And in my main rig with my minidisc deck and ULTRA meta42 they sound awesome but they also sound awesome in my portable rig. Now this is all new to me because I thought that a full size headphone was the way to go but find that the E2s are so good that I only want to listen to them? So now I am back listening even more to my music in my main rig with the E2s and have the option of going portable and get almost the same sound. The E2 are that good!

They're very good, but they aren't miracle workers. It is really nice to have something on the market that sounds significantly better than the EX71 yet doesn't break $100, and gives similarly/slightly higher priced headphones a very good run for their money.

The E2c is by virtue of it's recessed highs very easy to listen to. It's not strictly my cup of tea most of the time (I like something between this and Grato) but it is a non fatiguing sound.

Glad you like them Lou, I hope they stay this time...

they are pretty good earphone but *as some ppl might remember* when i first got them i was highly annoyed at the very hard fitting sleaves (which miraculously my ears have adjusted to). most of the time they're comfy too.

as for sound, yes they're definately not the best thing since sliced bread but I would put this over the ex70 anyday of the week. I have em running straight outta my md atm, do they really sound all that much better with a portable amp...just curious since I really dont want to lage a portable amp with me if I wanted to have that much improved sound.... anywho, just my two cents

HI: The super mini amp V6.2D is just amazing and real small and opens up the E2 like unreal fantastic awesome with only a portable minidisc at 5 m/w out put. I think the V6.2D is very close or even better than a portable meta42 but way smaller and very neat. I used the E2 minidisc and V6.2D fore two days and nights when I first got the amp. All the E2s need is a great amp to blow you away with sound that you don't get with out a great amp and the V6.2d is great as the ULTRA amp is great all fore little money. The E2 have great potential if you get them to really open up.
