You can add AMPs or bass AMPs like ZO2 to the chain and D600 willbe very bassy without loosing details in other frequincies, I like there details, bass and overall soundquality. Out of mp3 player they play quite loud and sound very detailed yet bassy with good imaging, decent instruments separation(AMPs help will improve them well).

I just purchased a pair of D600. Around $3xx. For that price i think it did a really good job. at lease much better than my beat studioHD which is $300 a pair.
Much better. but my HD800 still better than that but it is 5x the cost.

Well I bought mine for $280 at amazon, advertised as "open box item" but the headphones were brand new actually. You should try looking in amazon, and ebay too.

I did go aon there, I'm in canada though and they charge an arm and a leg for customs now......
