How fast are you

1235Kbps down/107Kbps down

I am suppossedly rated at 1500/384. The upstream speed could use a bit of improvement but the downstream speed is good.

Edit. Just found out I am actually at 128Kbps upload. Oh well. When I originally signed up for Earthlink that's what I was suppossed to get, but it turned out to be 384Kbps. Now it's back down to 128Kbps.

Median of three tests...

37kbps download
90kbps upload

Very strange.

And still below "bearable" on their chart. Geez, you'd think they're trying to sell me something.

I'm using verizon dsl, is it ok guys? it looks a bit disappointed to me but I'm not complaining though, with the package and everything, it only cost me $29.99 per month, and I'm not a heavy downloader anyway, mainly use to surf.

I got about 550 down, 220 up. Odd... my speed depends HEAVILY on the source... I have gotten in excess of 200KB/s at times, but this tells me I should get 71.7.

I pay for 1.5MbPS... $50 per month... I guess I get it on downloads... upload speed was doing better than I thought it would.

I guess thats not too bad for a 512/256 DSL with a contention ratio of 50/1...

...Going to get 1mb cable soon though

(Hey, don't let any Swedish people read this thread, from my understanding they all get 10mbps access free of charge thanks to their government...

Damn you soupy!

Hey, Sort of off track... but i'm interested to see if rip-off Britain lives up to its reputation here...

for 512/256 access we are charged $48 per month, and for 1mb access about $5-10 more... is that respectable, compared to the US / rest of the world, or is that just a blatant rip-off?
