How exactly do I tell that this is an hd 800s rather than an hd 800?

I ordered a used one, and the band simply says hd 800 (which matches another picture that I've seen). Is there some other way of telling that I got the 's'?

HD 800 is silver and black. HD 800s is all black.

and I just found a comparison pic on Amazon that shows just that. Cool. I have the 800s. I was a little concerned at first since the middle of the band is silver, and the pics I had looked at looked like black. But this is indeed the s. (sigh of relief).

First time I've heard of somebody buying one without knowing which it actually is but hey, they're both great! Ill admit, it's a bit weird that Sennheiser uses the same engraving on both headphones. I've heard both and prefer the S model, much more refined!

Well, i bought it as an 800s, but then I saw it engraved as the 800, and wanted to make sure that the guy didn't send me the wrong model.
