Hey guys and girls,

I have an Ipod filled with Lossless material and a K701 headphone. I'm planning on moving to a Heed Can Amp, but I am not sure how an Ipod connects to one? Can anyone please fill me in? Oh, and I have been told that the amp wont make a difference, because there is no way to bypass the Ipod's amp. Is that true?

Thanks,
Joey

you need to buy a line out dock.

IIRC, the canamp's stock gain is 11. It gets VERY loud with only a slight twist of the volume knob. The precision simply isnt there. It's best to pair the can amp to a weak source.

Via the lineout!

ALO.com, qables.com, etc... You're still stuck with the ipod's DAC though, unless you get it imodded, but that's only for 4th gen. pods.

I think the ipod qualifies as a weak source.

Ah, yeah... forgot about that!

I'm very sure you can find one at alo.com, if not Ken should be able to make one for you. There may be cheaper alternatives.

Wow! I never knew that existed! Well, in this crazy hobby that could VERY well sound just AS good as a vampire! For WAY less! Hmm.. why don't you audition it and post impressions! I would be very interested to find out!
