I just got one of the Grado carrying cases, or at least one that looks identical to the one that comes out of the UK.

Vilaibhan Grado Carry Case ( for SR60i SR325i RS1 RS2 ) - eBay (item 110483593994 end time Feb-18-10 04:31:28 PST)

My question, regarding either case, is how do you safely coil the cable inside the case? The photo in the auction (or on the site with the UK case) has the cable coiled up around the exterior with the plug corralled in the center. What I'm mostly worried about here is the stress being put on the cables coming out of the headphones themselves. It seems like one or both will have to be subjected to a tight angle as the cables are stiff and come out of the bottom of both headphones, yet they're being angled upward.

Is there anyone who has these and can tell me how to safely and neatly use this case for its intended purpose?

Yeah... go for it. The cable is quite sturdy, esp. on the "i" version Grados.

Ordinarily, bending cables is not recommended. I'm still skeptical.

Look-up the over/under wrapping technique.

Looks just like my old Bose Quiet Comfort case. Almost as if someone took the label off the front and glued their label on it...... Hmmmmm

Co-sign on the over/under. Works wonders with longer runs, but is also sound practice for any length. BTW, that is a nice little case from Thailand. I have one for when I take my Grados on the road. It has a netted pocket for my pig tail and velcro to wrap around the cable.

Ummm....I think I understand. The video was kind of dark and then with the use of black cables, it made it hard to see. I saw another video of the same demonstration but with a white cable. I'll try it. It's still a tight fit. I can also stuff the cables in on top of the headphones and close the case, and that works, too. Not neat, though.

Check the other videos that come up to the right. The black shirt he was wearing was a right bad choice!

all my headphones now have their own headphone stand so the cables are just heaped in a coil at the foot of each stand, but i'm just going to have to try this over and under technique when I next use my headphones
