How do you tell what impedance a pair of DT 880s are?

I just received a pair of DT 880 600ohms from B&H. I want insure that they are indeed the 600 ohm version because the box they came in shows 250 ohm in the specifications area. The box has clearly been opened before and has a sticker marking the package as the 600 ohm version. I'm wondering if the 600 ohm version doesn't come in retail packaging and was perhaps put in another box. Thanks for any input, I'd really like to get this figured out.

I also got an E-MU 0404 DAC which I'm enjoying a lot. Expect pictures and impressions once I get my Little Dot MkIII next week!

Use a MultiMeter and check each channel on plug

My new 600Ohm had "600Ohm" stamped on the jack itself, not sure if it's for all models though..

Multimeter reads 600ohms on one channel and 597ohms on the other

mine dated in 2007 does not have words on the jack, so it is only one of the way to check. Like others mentioned, using the ohm meter is the most accurate to find it out.
