I use Free Sound Recorder to record mp3s from streaming audio online and while I realize it's not the best quality, it is a good way to listen to the songs and see if its worth searching for a higher quality recording. The problem is, I haven't found a way to get the detailed tag information into the file, you can name it when you start recording but I don't think the recorder can do much beyond that. Is there a function in WMP or another app that can search for this tag info and automatically apply it?

I know there are auto-taggers in winamp and others, but it does not do a very good job when the songs aren't ripped from a cd, and even then it is kind of sketchy. The only thing I can think of is if you feel like paying for a program that specifies in recording songs from internet radio, it may be able to tag them automatically, or just tag by hand, a pain in the ass I know. Tagging all of my DESS and Purple Chick Beatles albums was a pain.

Go to cnet.com and you will find many tag editors. Most are free trials but you may find one that is worth the $10 or so they may charge.

Tag & Rename. I love it. Mass tagging, renaming to/from tags, downloading of all information (including album art) from amazon in as little as 2 clicks.

Tried a lot of them, like T&R the best.

In foobar2k, you can right-click an entire album and get the track titles. The program allegedly rewrites the existing tags, which is nice when you consider how consistently accurate the program is.

Definitely try MusicBrainz Picard or anything else implementing MusicBrainz' service. I've used their database since before Picard was even started and it usually does a great job. I've even contributed a few albums.
