How do you store/carry your Ety ER-4?

I recently picked up the Ety ER-4 and I am having a heck of a time figuring out how to pack these things to work.
I can't use the soft bag that came with them because they need more protection than it affords from crushing. They won't fit in the plastic container that my ER-6 came with. I tried a small metal can, but the cord is so unruly that this method takes much patience to get them tucked away, and I am afraid that I am going to pinch a wire when I close the lid. I am currently trying out a plastic container that a roll of electrical tape came in. The shirt clip on the "pod", is still not fitting well.

Since I am running out of ideas, I thought I should ask for help here.

Please help.

I carry mine in my portable DVD case. It has a nice little padded section that fits them alongside the player along with it's power supply. The other side opens to store my CDs. To crush the Etys, you would have to crush the player! I would look around for another case, there has to be one of them available that would work!

I remember that one. A case for glasses would work perfectly.

Hey, I have one of those. I'll give that a try.
It'll go nice with my mint meta

Has anyone ever tried some sort of winder? Like a post to wind the cord around.
I picked up some Jenson crap buds to see if the case for them would work. The resistor pod won't go in.

That pod thing sure is long.

I put them in a pcdp case that I wear when on the go, It has room for the pcdp, the er4's, the nylon strap, and a few cd's.

I carry my Etys in my ears

(<- we need an Ety-Smiley, complete with cable curled around the ears... dang, where do you put ears on a smiley?)

Otherwise, the supplied case is fine for me. But why not use a stiff case for glasses, RayBan has some nice ones. Nylon seems rather pointless if you need crush-protection.

Heck, there is one! It's just lacking ears!

i bought the zippered pouch from etymotic.com the last time i ordered new tips/filters..

works awesome. it has two little pockets on the inside, i put my er-4s in one, and my freebie mx300's in the other. that way i have both closed and open headphones in the same portable setup. all hail the ipod!

just put 'em in my pocket or one of those little black Koss bags that comes with KSC-35. somehow I ended up with a bunch of those. anyway, my ety's are fairly beat-up looking, but they work so I'm happy.

After reading the suggestion several months ago I found a glass case and have been using it ever since. When I travel I revert to the original case that fits nicely in the Headroom Traveler bag.
