I've read on different forums that some listen 70-80 db for example. How are people measuring that?
How do you know what db level you are listening to?

Radio shck meter is how I measure it, it is normally in the low 80s but it peaks to the high 80s .

Always wanted to know too. I wanna get a DB meter. Hopefully will get it until middle year, i think it's a really useful safety tool ...

Are you aware of the special requirements for headphones SPL measurement?
You have to mimic the seal when headphones are worn on the head, for instance by a piece of cardboard (with a hole for the mike naturally).
