My Eh350's sound draaahayier the more I use them. They sound so dry, I literally think that the sound is affecting my hearing. Even my ears feel a lot drier.

I've noticed the same thing with my Kramer modded KSC75. They got A LOT drier when I quarter-modded them.
This means the dryness may be attributed to how the sound bounces around the 'flanges' of the ear pads around the driver. I've tried flattening my ears around the circumference of the pads to decrease sound reverberation against the flanges and that worked last night. Now however, the dryness retains and that solution works no further.

Question for dry sounding phone owners out there: How in the heck do you live with it!? (Without amping, EQuing, smashing the phones.

I've received the Senn's about a week ago. Will pink noise or more constant usage cure this (INTENSE) dryness? It has everything I want (clarity; amazing detail; great instrument separation; soundstage) so I really don't want to return it. :'(

Dry? You mean hiss/sibilance?

It's really hard to describe. I'll put it this way. The singers sound like they have no saliva WHATSOEVER.

What's your source and encoding? What equipment do you listen to which isnt dry sounding to your ears?

Currently using everything with a Vision M. Mainly 192 KPBS or more CBR Mp3s.

The ER6s I remember sounded alright to my ears. The KSC75s (non-Quarter modded) sounded good too and I've used those for months. It's when I quarter modded them when I noticed this dryness.
