How do they compare?

So, I'm contemplating on whether or not I should switch my M-Audio Transit out with a USB Alien DAC. Can anyone tell me how these two compare, and if it would be considered a "good" investment, or a significant/considerable upgrade from the Transit?

I would expect that it would be a downgrade from your transit and not advisable. There are some comparisons here.

Thanks for the input, it's much appreciated! What would you consider a good, but still relatively inexpensive upgrade then to the Transit?
