How do the Alessandro MS-1's compare to the Senn HD25-1's?

I'm kind of curious about the MS-1's-- I've read alot of good things about them, and my headphone requirements will be changing soon (no need for something ultraportable, and not near as much need for a closed phone), and since I have the HD25-1's and really like them, I was wondering if someone has done a comparison of these two cans, sound quality only. I realize that one is open (very open) and the other is closed and more portable & durable, but for home use, which would be the best choice for old school metal (the likes of Iron Maiden, early Megadeth, etc.)? Any opinions/experiences with comparing these cans would be much appreciated!

edit: I'll be using a Sony D-NE300 pcdp mostly, but also TEAC cdp straight out of the headphone jack and a Sony 100 watt stereo receiver straight out of its headphone jack.

I haven't heard a MS1 yet but FWIW I liked my Grado 225 more than the HD25 for sound quality only - maybe except for bass where the Senn has a stronger and tighter bass. The Grados bass is less dry, warmer but also a bit more musical. Overall, the Grado was a better headphone for rock, vocals, classical, jazz, etc. The Senn was better for hip hop. Further, I found Grados to be more comfortable.

Well, uhmmm....
I haven't been able to decide which one I like better yet. The soundsignature is alike but the ms-1 is more open sounding and the hd25-1 is closed sounding. But that speaks for itself of course.
Hd25 benefits more from amping (MINT) making the instrument seperation a bit better. Better than the HD25 unamped and better than the MS1 amped. But only slightly. The strong point of the ms1 over the hd25 is the open sound.
They both have their strengths and weaknesses but I can't imagine anyone being very dissapointed going from one can to the other with these two.

FYI, my HD25 isn't burned in completely and I havent spend much time with it unamped.
