How Do I Type Certain Symbols?

Either memorize the alt+numberpad commands or copy-paste them from your word processing program's symbol list. I don't know the "registered" symbol but I do know how to do the umlaut vowels in German. Alt+153, for example, is a capital O with umlauts: Ö.
