Hello there,
I just have a quick question, I own the Sennheiser HD 579 and a Creative Soundblaster Z internal soundcard, I just played this (got halfway through, just once):
At 100% volume but with -6dB on Preamp, the bass was actually amazing for an open back, I also got great sub bass, but this had me thinking, did I drive the headphones too high on bass? did that damage them even a little bit? I didn't hear any distortions at such high volume playing that bass boosted song and played other songs at reasonable volumes right after and it was fine, but can someone confirm the headphones didn't get damaged in any way?
Soundcard specs:
Headphone (33 ohms): 1.3Vrms
Headphone (600 ohms): 2Vrms
Headphone impedance is 50 Ohms.
Thank you.
