OK, I admit this is a really dumb question for me to ask....

I am about to sell my ER-4's...and I suddenly realised I do not know whether they are B's, P's or S's....

The little Users manual in the box with them is headed ER-4B/ER-4S so I guess I should assume they are not the 'P' variety...and I do not think I would have bought the 'B'...so I assuming they are the 'S'.

However, is there any visual way of telling by looking at them?

Thanks for your patience with me! iano

The "S"'s have a grey coloured juncture where the L/R driver cables converge. I believe the "P"'s have a green one. Not sure about the "B"'s

B's have a black pod.

Despite their great sound quality, personally I have found I just find in ear phones too uncomfortable...

Many people find that it takes a bit of time for their ears to become accustomed to the plugs. It is like wearing earplugs your ears need a little time.
