Are they worth the money? Are they comfortable and isolating? Would you recommend them?

E2 -> right angle. I would take a look at the ER6 if you do not need much bass. I got mine new for $90 shipped. It isolates as good or better than the E2.

Personally I think they are better value for money than the e3s.

Same here, only I have my Karma pumping the tunes. I love my E2's, they are great. After a few minutes I forget they are in

I think the general concensus is E2's for bass lovers, ER6's for detail and higher frequencies.

So far I like them, they are great. They're definitely not the greatest, but you certainly don't need the greatest for portability.

Things I like:
Good overall sound, especially for a portable. Fun
Secure when wrapped around your ears, so they don't fall of like the ety's
Nice, adequately audible bass
Forgot to mention. They isolate great. Probably better than you'll ever need them to.

Things I don't particualry like:
Bass is a bit muddy
Mids overpower the highs. Sound somewhat dark. (This might be my source)
Take time getting used to for many people

I've owned the ety's before and they were certainly better. Just so much more accurate and coherent. The ety's are boring though, especially for rock or anything with guitars for that matter. Also the microphonics are annoying.

I'de say get them. If you don't like them just return them and try something else.

Man you hit the nail on the head about the E2's lack of highs. I always though they just simply lacked the highs, but now you made me realize that the mids were just overpowering them. No wonder I love them so much for listening to Tool and APC. With that music, I'll take all the mids and bass I can get

How do the e2c's compare to the MX500s?

They'll knock the stuffing out of those EX71 N.U.D.E.s you got there.

i don't know if you're attempting to decide whether or not to get the e2's over the e3's due to your desired budget, but the e3's are NOT worth the money at all, in my opinion.

i have never heard the e2's but would certainly recommend them over the e3's, because i do not like the e3's. Not to mention they are uber-overpriced.

Unless you want to talk about the e5's - which are phenomena,l but expensive - i'm pretty sure that based on how many happy e2 customers there are out there, you would be satisfied with them.

i was looking to get some e2's. now too.

I just got my first good pair of headphones (a900's) and it has totally ruined music for me! I cant deal with these cheap little sony earbuds i bought for my ipod. so i need somthing low price, and very portable.

The E2's look like the ticket but, how do the ER-6 compare? they are about the same price right?

i love my e2s.. i would go for it man..

however, just a reminder, YMMV as canal phones depends a lot on the fit of your ear. I feel that i have fantestic sound as i think i may have a "perfect" fit.. so it all may varies from ear and ear
