How are Sennheiser HD 570 headphones?

I am wondering if these are any good or not. I am looking at buying either these or the Sennheiser HD280 pro. I am also looking at the Sennheiser HD 555 if those stand out above these all.

For the money, they really suck! They're also very hard to drive.

I havent heard the 280 pro but i once bought the 570 and they were bassy but weird in the high frequencies. very artificial sounding.

570s are more on the level of 515s (pretty much V-shaped frequency response), so yes, 555s would be quite a bit better. Refurb'd 590s aren't too bad a deal either (they can be had for as low as ~$120). The HD280 isn't bad but you should only buy one if you need closed cans.
