HOTUSB1 or HOTUSB2 ?

I am going to pair one of these with an AD700, and I don't care about the detachable cable. Is there anything sonically different that would make me buy the HOTUSB1 instead of the HOTUSB2 ?

I, too, am thinking of buying an AD700 and the HOTUSB1 or HOTUSB2. This page says that the HOTUSB2 is low cost, and has a warm sound, but I'd like to know more about the differences between the two devices.

I looked at the specs for the HOTUSB1 and the HOTUSB2 and the HOTUSB2 has a lower THD+N.
