So I nearly had a heart attack this morning...

I'm moving to Pennsylvania next Monday. My employer was suppose to get in contact with movers, who would then in turn contact me so I could coordinate everything. Bear in mind that I sent in all the paperwork for this back on June 11. I heard nothing, got fed up, and finally called the guy who's supposed to be helping me with all of this stuff. He informs me that they pretty much overbooked the movers and that I'm going to have to find movers on my own.

Oh crap!

Luckily, the company is still paying for the move. Luckilier, I was able to find movers that will move me out of state as well as be able to do it on such short notice. The bummer is that there's no guarantee that my stuff will actually arrive on Monday. I'm still kinda miffed about that, but at least I found somebody. I'm just glad I called and found out what was going on, because it doesn't appear that the company was planning on telling me any of this.

Never a dull moment, let me tell ya...

Yeah, I know all about that. I have been averaging a move every two or three years last 30 years or so. Hopefully my next move out of Hawaii is my last move so that my kids will have some kind of stability. You get to see whole lot of other interesting places serving Army but moving around so much definitely getting old after so many years.

Jigglybootch. so what would have happened if you had not called? You would have been left out in the cold? If so that sucks.

I have had 9 addresses since 1982 till today. So I know what you mean about moving once every 3 years or less.

I moved ten times in one ten-year period, and in one twelve-month period of the ten years, I moved three times. Divorce was only part of it.

I moved none times in my 18 years of life. Same town, same house, same room, same window, for 18 years.

If I didn't call, I'd be totally boned right now.
