Holo Audio Red Streamer

In streamer mode I have no LED--in DDC mode I have a white LED. It's a very small hole for the LED, so this is at least what I can see.
Yep, I don't see the front LED lit either. Definitely just some config issues, but I can't get it online 😅

Anyone know if the ethernet activity LEDs on the back should flash?

Yes--the ethernet activity lights should be flashing.
Yeah, mine definitely aren't. Unless on the off chance it simply doesn't like cat8 cables, I'll need to RMA I suppose. Ordered some cat6 just in case but 99% sure that isn't the issue

Finally got it working, yay. Now does anyone know if it's possible to use both USB in and out at the same time? As in input from PC, output to May?

Thanks everyone :)

Does anyone know where I can find all the original files for the Red? Just purchased one used and it's not being detected on my network, although it works over USB. Just need to figure out if I need to change some config or something, but no idea where to start as it's not being assigned an IP by my router.

Thanks :)
Make sure you don't have the USB plugged in if you're trying to use it as a streamer. With USB plugged in, it will start up as a DDC. Probably nothing wrong with it or your SD card, just unplug the cable.

Glad to hear you've got it working. What was the issue and how did you resolve it?
Also--I've never tried using both, USB in/out.
I bought it from my friend in the UK and he thought it was good for either 110v/220v without a switch. Ended up realizing that's probably not the case and when I looked on the bottom saw the 220v sticker. Opened up the Red and flipped the voltage switch to 110, problem solved lol

Did you have any more luck with the Red?
If not--I wonder if there is damage to the internals due to the incorrect voltage?

All seems fine. It's working without issue thankfully. Still figuring out if I can run both USB in/out at the same time though, but no other issues.

No. USB in is DDC functionality, with output on everything else but the USB.

LAN in is streamer mode, and allows USB or other outputs.

With LAN in and my source set to USB, streaming mode is enabled--but as soon as I switch the source to i2s the Red automatically disables streaming mode and defaults to DDC mode.

EDIT: Apologies--I'm using USB out.
The above still holds true with LAN and USB output connected.

1) No, it's not a DAC, it's a digital only device intended for feeding a DAC, similar to an iFi Neo Stream, Audio-GD DI20HE, Singxer SU-6 etc

2) Yes, it can be used either as a network streamer or USB DDC. (Need to reboot to change modes though).
You can use either the clean USB out or the I2S/AES/SPDIF outputs in either mode.
Can the Red convert a SPDIF input to a USB out?

Do you NEED to have the Reds USB B-Male INPUT plugged into the Spring 3 KTE B-Male to use the Red as a DDC?
I'm currently using the Reds USB OUTPUT > i2s > Spring 3 KTE with my Red page configured to Holo Audio UAC2.0 RED--I'm so damn confused whether or not I'm using the streamer or the DDC section of the Red--but in this configuration I thought (and am thinking) I'm using the DDC section?

Thanks
