Hi People,

Why is that I get very high pitch (when I wear my head phone this is a painful experience ) or sometimes static noise when playing some FLAC files or .MKV files ?

I've just installed K-Lite Codec version 10 on my Windows 7 laptop and using Windows Media Player classic as follows:

Code:
MPC-HC (Nightly)
----------------------------------

Build information:
 Version: 1.7.0.203 (66de7c7)
Compiler: MSVC 2012 Update 4 (SSE)
 Build date: Nov 14 2013

LAV Filters:
 LAV Splitter: 0.59.1.0
 LAV Video: 0.59.1.0
 LAV Audio: 0.59.1.0
 FFmpeg compiler: MinGW-w64 GCC 4.7.3

Operating system:
Name: Windows NT 6.3 (build 9600)
 Version: 6.3 (64-bit)

and the Windows Mixer is set to Digital Output which is USB docking station that is using TOSlink.

here's the setting:

Windows

AC3 Codec properties:

Input format: Unknown - 0
User format: PCM24 Dolby ProLogic II 192000
Output format: Unknown - 0

Use SPDIF
SPDIF status: No data
SPDIF passthrough for: AC3 DTS
Use AC3 encoder (do not encode stereo PCM)
Do not check SPDIF sample rate
Query for SPDIF output support

Filter chain:
(Unknown - 0)

is this because of the DAC (Oritek OMZ Modz v4.1) is not supporting 24 bit or 192KHz processing while playing the 24-bit /96 KHz HD-track files ?

Any kind of help and assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
