Sorry no pet. But i’m good. You’re in luck if you have a pet as well. I know a vet that doubles as an audiologist specializing in kangaroos and humans with headphone addiction.
I'd categorise Utopia as punchy headphone as well among TOTL options. Definitely not the biggest bass quantity, but the dynamic punch is nice, and help to make me feel engaging.Utopias punchy? Tell me what city you’re in and I’ll Google an audiologist for you.
Pass labs amps are known to be on the smooth side of the spectrum, especially their class A variations.
dynamic sounding Accuphase.

Last time I checked, my audiologist said that i'm all good
I had the option of getting the Class A Accuphase e800 at a ridiculous price. I mulled over it, A/B-ed between the e800 and the e380, and settled on the e380, because it is a more forward and punchy sound. The treble is also more sparkly and I love the entire presentation.I can agree with that, but I'd say that this applies to class A designs in general. At least I haven't yet heard a class A amp that would sound harsh and piercing. Some were quite polite though
Older Accuphase products I remember were on the soft and dense side, so more in line with class A, but recent amps of that manufacturer are said to be stiffer and leaner class AB types. If I may ask, where would you put your E-380?
Makes sense to me.For me Utopias and susvaras cover two different angles of indulgence in this hobby that have me covered
Well amped susvaras and utopias give me a hugely transparent option and a punchy detailed option.
and my need for filled out mids in their own way is covered by both.

Have you heard of this amp? I wonder how itMakes sense to me.
amp 23-R should be great, man. Haven't heard of the boenicke p1.Have you heard of this amp? I wonder how it
Would pair with Susvara?

I have an Enleum amp 23-R ordered and Soo In is very excited about the new upgraded performance. Still can’t figure out if the 23-R is a headphone amp or speaker amp. “I actually got the final prototype here in San Jose a couple weeks ago, and I have to say it’s amazing and much upgraded from the old AMP-13R especially in bass range (more extended and defined), as well as it provides quieter background. I don’t think we can do any better than this for a long time, and this is most likely our end-game compact amplifier” He seems earnest and I know that he believes this to be true. I would love to stop this quest for a while.

They are both great signatures but I preferred the Accuphase’s A/B amps to their Class A amps and Pass Labs’ Class A amps. But of course YMMV.
The e800 however sounds more laidback, polite, smoother, which my older friends call “more refined” lol.

Well, of course they do. 50 years of R&D, and quite the status they have achieved in 2-ch.Thanks, this is all very understanadable. I'm sure that this more sporty sound characteristic works really nice with Susvara and your SF monitors
That 'vintage' aesthetic got many people into Accuphase, but it's quite cool seeing that this company knows how to make fast and puchny amps as well.
I also like Gryphon and Dan D’Agostino a lot, as would most people I suppose, lol.

I have some friends who have invested the likes of small nations’ budgets in their 2-ch set up, and many prefer the Accuphase to Pass, Luxman or McIntosh. I personally consider them all very impressive and more or less at the same tier, although McIntosh’s tube amps are more competitive than their SS, IMHO.
